Publicity Project -
Montreal International Documentary Festival

New brand image and advertising campaign for the Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM). Designed in the context of the course Publicity Project, Graphic Design program, Cégep du Vieux Montréal.

poster — 23 po. x 35 po.
pamphlet — 15 po. x 9 po.
invitation card — 3,875 po. x 9,25 po.
press folder — 8 po. x 10,5 po.
promotional item — 7 fridge magnets

The visual proposition explores the diversity of the festival. The complete simplification of the screen, the white square, attracts various irregular shapes, illustrating the international and intercultural aspects of the festival, and of the presented documentaries. The contrasted typographies are a reminder of dynamism, while maintaining a certain seriousness, as is usually the documentary genre. The navy blue is an allusion to the darkness of the movie theater.

Collages -
FEMME one, two and three

Personal project.
3 — 6 po. x 9 po.

Representation of three women issued from the popular magazine. They each are associated with their own dream destination; the Egypt pyramids, the Peru mountains and the classic cottage on the lake. Decorated with jewellery and flowers, they have elegance and a sublime posture. The collage, which shows only their best attributes (their hair, breasts and arms) reduces them to simple advertisements, erasing their personalities.

Typomanie

Style experiment in the form of a video, expressing Typomany, a fictive term for the graphic designer's obsession with typography. Designed in the context of the course Typo-Image, Graphic Design program, Cégep du Vieux Montréal. Created in collaboration with Marie-Christine Aucoin and Jade Bressan.
1 minute, 27 seconds

Inspired by virtual kitsch culture, Typomany submerges the viewer in the internet universe. The background music, a song from Mort Garson's album Plantasia, designed to make plants grow, perfectly matches the desired atmosphere. Typography is introduced in 10 different ways through colorful and dynamic animations, representing the 9 letters of the word Typomanie, and the word as a whole.
